 Having lived a lot of our lives outside of the law, my wife and I decided to get married as pirates on Galveston Island. This was long before the movie ever came out. Being a firefighter for over 24 years, the Chaplain of the fire department married us on a jetty then the entire wedding party was paraded up and down the sea wall on a pumper truck.  My wife and I return to The Poop Deck where the reception was held on our anniversary.  This is a map of the era in the books, I used it frequently writing the stories. |
